Language Arts courses are designed to teach students the mechanics of writing, the process of composing research, and the art of creative expression while guiding each student's academic strengths. Through dictation exercises, students will develop the ability to identify and replicate exemplary writing, explore diverse writing styles through captivating assignments, and strengthen their natural grasp of grammar.

Our history curriculum is both academically rigorous and extensive assuring it meets all student's needs. It employs literature-based learning to introduce students to diverse sources and viewpoints. Starting with Level D, the curriculum seamlessly blends reading and history. History, Geography, Language Arts, Read-Alouds, and Readers are all interconnected. This integrative approach fosters profound connections among historical figures, locations, and events for the students.

Our Science course integrates a literature-based methodology with national standards to create a cohesive learning experience. By incorporating enthralling literature and practical experiments, our academically demanding program leverages crosscutting concepts to harmonize the disciplines of science and engineering through their shared applications. This approach is reinforced by weekly experiments or projects that solidify the connection between scientific principles and their real-world uses. Applications to multiple areas will help to enhance each student's academic strengths and allow them to apply scientific knowledge to real life application.

We employ the Math-U-See curriculum, a comprehensive, mastery-based program that utilizes manipulatives to illustrate and teach mathematical concepts. Our goal is to "build understanding" using a mastery approach that caters to different learning levels and styles meeting each student's needs. Each book focuses on a specific theme while integrating other relevant math topics. Subsequent books consistently review and incorporate concepts from previous levels. Instead of grade levels, we use the Greek alphabet to denote the sequence of concepts taught. Each level builds on skills previously acquired, establishing a solid foundation for students to progress to algebra and other advanced courses.

The Art of Problem-Solving program is incorporated into our curriculum for advanced students.

This innovative and challenging curriculum, designed for curious students, is known as Beast Academy (AoPS). It transcends the usual math program by encouraging deep thinking and understanding rather than just rote memorization of procedures.

New students will undergo placement tests in Mathematics, Language Arts, and Reading.

All students will take the TerraNova NEXT assessment at the start and end of the academic year. The achievement scores reflect how the student performs compared to peers nationwide, covering Reading, Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

Second graders and older will take the InView Cognitive Abilities Test, which assesses skills and abilities closely linked to academic success. It evaluates Verbal Reasoning with words and context, Sequences, Analogies, and Quantitative Reasoning.

The collected data will help us identify each student's academic strengths and weaknesses, as well as potential giftedness.

Music education enhances brain activity and fosters brain development. It supports children in mastering mathematics and foreign languages. Additionally, it improves phonemic awareness in literacy instruction, sparks creativity, and aids in cultivating essential skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and risk-taking. A general music course is part of the standard curriculum for all students. Those who wish to participate in orchestra classes have the option to study the violin. Parents interested in enrolling their child in orchestra should be ready to provide a violin and the necessary music text.
