Language Arts Program:

History A: Intro to the World - Cultures:

The tapestry of world history is rich with the evolution of dietary habits, clothing styles, and living conditions. From early hunter-gatherer societies to today's complex civilizations, each era reflects environmental conditions, cultural practices, and technological advancements. This historical journey informs our present and shapes our future as we continue to adapt and evolve.

Primary Science A:

Primary Science A offers a hands-on approach to learning, where students dive into the wonders of nature and the principles of physics. Through engaging experiments like building ant tunnels and designing boats, they'll grasp the scientific method's core stages: Prediction, Investigation, and Conclusion. The curriculum is enriched with a diverse set of books, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of our world's intricate systems.

Math - Primer Level:

The Primer level is an introduction to “doing math.” The emphasis is not on demonstrating mastery but on becoming familiar with concepts and easing into formal learning. Students will learn to write numerals, basic counting, addition and subtraction, skip counting, geometric shapes, and telling time. They will become familiar with Math-U-See Manipulatives and develop a positive attitude towards learning math.

From the whimsical rhymes of Dr. Seuss to the heartwarming tale of Balto, each book serves as a stepping stone in developing strong reading and writing skills. History B: Intro to World History Year One:

Embark on a historical journey that spans the globe and delves into the heart of ancient civilizations. From the rise of Rome to its dramatic fall, witness the unfolding of human history. Discover the vibrant daily life in Egypt, where balance and harmony were cherished, and the Nile's waters nurtured a civilization. In Greece, participate in the origins of democracy and philosophy, while in China, follow the enduring legacy of the Silk Road. This odyssey is not just a tale of empires and conquests, but a story of humanity's quest for meaning, connection, and a place in the annals of time.

Science B:

Science B students will learn about light and sound waves, animal life and survival, the solar system, and engineering design. The literature includes a vivid, fully illustrated children's encyclopedia that covers geology, the human body, animal life, and technology. In addition, students will read vibrant, fascinating picture books covering light waves, sound waves, and how to stave off illness. They will enjoy adventures through the body and outer space while reading highly entertaining story books from The Magic School Bus series. The literature is completed with the interactive, Working With Materials book and a captivating biography on Louis Pasteur. Experiments range from constructing and testing an air balloon rocket, building a floating boat, assembling a bird's nest, and much more!

Math - Alpha Level:

Alpha level math is dedicated to establishing a solid base in single-digit addition and subtraction. Through systematic teaching methods, we aim to help students memorize the fundamental facts of addition and subtraction.

 Language Arts Program:

The Language Arts program is a treasure trove of literary adventures, featuring read-aloud classics like "The Aesop for Children." From an operatic cricket to mighty Italian stallions, these delightful stories guide students in developing strong reading and writing skills. This comprehensive program provides all the tools needed to help children form and organize their thoughts, construct basic sentences, and write simple paragraphs. 

History C: Intro to World History Year Two:

This course weaves through the tapestry of global history, exploring stories from different parts of the world. From Rome's rise and fall to the diverse narratives of Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, students discover the interconnectedness of our histories. Books like 'Castle Diary' and '104 Poems of Whimsy and Wisdom' offer insights into the lives of historical figures, shaping our modern perspective.

Primary Science C:

 Science C students will learn about the interdependent relationships of plants and animals in ecosystems, explore what the world is made of, and examine the water cycle. The literature includes a highly engaging, fully illustrated resource book on animals and their habitats, vivid picture books on plants, earth, and what the earth is made of, and an exciting story from the beloved Magic School Bus series. Students will also read an inspiring biography about Marie Curie, then venture into chemistry while reading the interactive, Lift-the-Flap Periodic Table book. Experiments range from forming a cave with water, constructing a building to survive an earthquake, discovering first-hand why animals pick up things with their mouths instead of their paws, and much more! 

Math - Beta Level:

Building on foundational concepts from Alpha, Beta expands on multiple-digit addition and subtraction. The crucial concept of place value, introduced in Alpha, is further developed. Using place value charts and math manipulatives, students visualize and comprehend multiple-digit operations effectively.
