ITBS Test K-2nd

ITBS Test 3rd-12th

ITBS Test 3rd-12th

The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) for kindergarten through 2nd grade is a consumable test designed to evaluate foundational academic skills like reading, writing, listening, and mathematics. Students write directly on the test booklet, which provides a personalized and engaging experience. However, this format results in a higher cost due to the need for individual materials for each student. The testing fee reflects the added expense of providing consumable booklets, ensuring accuracy and convenience in assessing your child's academic progress.

ITBS Test 3rd-12th

The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) for students in grades 3rd through 12th assesses academic knowledge and skills in areas such as reading, mathematics, language, and science. Unlike the tests for younger grades, this version is non-consumable; students record their answers on separate answer sheets. This reusable format helps maintain cost-effectiveness while providing a comprehensive evaluation of each student’s academic progress and strengths.

ITBS/Cogat 3-12

ITBS/Cogat 3-12

The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) and the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) for 2nd grade are essential tools for assessing academic progress and cognitive strengths. The ITBS evaluates foundational academic skills, such as reading, writing, listening, and mathematics, while the CogAT focuses on reasoning abilities across verbal, non-verbal, and quantitative domains. Both tests are consumable, meaning students write directly on the test materials, ensuring a personalized and efficient assessment experience. These tests are integral to our advanced placement and gifted assessment process, helping identify students with exceptional abilities and potential for accelerated learning opportunities.

The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) and the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) for grades 3-12 are essential tools for assessing academic achievement and cognitive reasoning skills. The ITBS evaluates subject-specific knowledge in areas such as reading, mathematics, language, and science, while the CogAT focuses on reasoning abilities across verbal, non-verbal, and quantitative domains. These tests are non-consumable, meaning students record their answers on separate reusable answer sheets. They are also a key part of our advanced placement and gifted assessment process, helping identify students with exceptional abilities and potential for accelerated learning opportunities.
