Friday Casual Dress
Below is a concise summary of the Casual Friday dress code at Hill Country Arts Academy. For a complete list of guidelines, please refer to the Student Handbook.
Acceptable Attire
Tops:
- Allowed: Collared shirts or blouses, turtlenecks, T‑shirts, sweatshirts, crewnecks, hoodies (note: hoods may not be worn during the school day), or sweaters.
- Guideline: Tops should provide proper coverage—typically, they must cover the lower abdomen (below the belly button).
Bottoms:
- Allowed: Jeans, shorts, skirts, skorts, and capris.
- Guideline: Pants—even those with rips, holes, or embellishments—must not expose genitals or buttocks. Additionally, active wear (such as wind shorts, athletic shorts, or spandex gym wear) is acceptable only if the bottoms fully cover the buttocks.
Shoes:
- Allowed: Closed-toe shoes including athletic shoes, dress shoes, or loafers.
Unacceptable Attire
Tops:
- Clothing that reveals the midriff above the belly button, including tube tops, tank tops, crop tops, muscle shirts, mesh tops, halter tops, see-through shirts, fishnet clothing, or pajama/sleepwear tops.
Bottoms:
- Sagging pants, active wear such as swimsuits, boxer shorts, or pajama/sleepwear bottoms.
Shoes:
- Slippers or house shoes (all shoes must be closed toe).
